On the celebration of Laboratory Animal Day, Cristina Márquez talked with the University of Coimbra about the importance of animal experimentation for scientific research: “Not a long time ago, we lived during a situation that has shown that, although basic research is important, animal experimentation is still of the utmost importance”. All scientific research “must be communicated to society, especially the one that involves the use of animals”, explains Cristina acknowledging the uprise of movements against animal experimentation.
